The person was obviously bsing it. And yes, they lost points for mentioning God. It's not a check mark, it's a cross-out like a /. If they only got the last sentence wrong, they would've received much higher than a 40% failing grade. Obviously the whole answer sucked.

You could notice the essay get darker after every sentence... I can just imagine the teacher's serious face melt away when he/she saw that...

those aren't checks, people. those are crossing-out. He DID get the God comment wrong. why would the teacher give 8/20 for just the last line? The whole paper was obviously bs. they don't have to put a perfect "x" and a "-3" for each thing they got wrong.
