this teacher gets a FAIL! not only did they not catch the misspelling of hopeful, but the opposite of death (noun) is life (noun). the opposite of live (verb) is die (verb).
-
this deserves extra credit :P
-
Ha ha ha! I'm a teacher and even I want to slap this one! How can you not know what 'noob' means?? And SPELLING???????
-
Or if you are Patrick Henry: 1. death - liberty
-
EPIC WIN!1!1!11!!1!
-
of course its wrong!! n00b is spelled with 0 not o
-
WELCOME TO THE 21st CENTURY YOU EFFING TEACHER!!
-
lmao.....i would have said the same thing..... xD
-
that is actually true...
-
hmm. why did he cross out the "e" in "careless"...to put another "e"?
-
So true,so very very true...
-
Honestly, who uses the word "con". Noob is used far more in the english language.
-
Either your pro or your not.... LOL, teacher isn't pro.
-
It could also be that the opposite of live (adj.) is dead (adj.).
-
I like to shit on female genitalia.
-
'Hopeful' should only have one 'l'...At least n00b was spelt correctly! LOL
-
Dislike this.
-
What a n00b.
-
what a noob.
-
Didn't you guys figure that out? The opposite of "pro-" is "anti-." Your comments are dumb, just like this teacher who was not so keen to correct hopefull to hopeful, and life as opposite of death, not live. I pity the child for having such an incompetent teacher.
-
Pro has several possible pairs I can think of, depending on meaning. It's an ambiguous word: Pro-con, pro-amateur, pro-noob, pro-novice, pro-beginner, are just a few.
-
I love how they marked out the e in careless to put another e above it, as if it were a mistake.
-
NICE
-
NO THE UK DONT SPELL HOPEFUL WITH 2 L's!!!!!
-
Lol
-
the UK spell hopefull with two ls
-
ROFLL this kid's cool XD how did the teacher notice that noob is "completely off" when he missed Live and HopefuLL
-
I knew I saw my teacher scanning something in after I turned that paper in...
-
The Teacher is a N00B
-
Not MLG
-
the answer was con n00bs!
-
First, note the hyphen at the end of "pro-". It meant "in favor of", not "professional". Second, even if it was professional, "n00b" would still the wrong answer. "n00b" means someone that is stupid or annoying. He meant "newb", which means beginner.
-
Noob is correct!
-
lol we don't actually spell hopeful with two ls in the UK. This kid just made a spelling mistake.
-
This time, the teacher fails. Nice twist.
-
but wait.... nOOb is the the opposite of pro
-
LMFAO

-

-
When you think about it its acually right
-
HOW CUD U NOT KNOW WHAT NOOB IS? NOOB!
-
The first one is also wrong! The opposite of death is birth...
-
LOL noob! Isn't it con- ? but funny
-
that's an EPIC WIN!
-
Ha ha thats so win. Stupid teacher.
-
hopeful is spelled wrong, that teacher is a moron.
-
Gadmit GI you made me proud..
-
WIN

Also, the prefix "pro-" (it's a prefix, as indicated by the dash) is NOT the opposite of the prefix "con-". The old joke that "progress" is the opposite of "congress", while funny, is not an accurate reflection of grammar (progress means "step towards", while congress means "step together")
-
Well i wrote one time "Sucks" as the opposite of "Nice"... (English exam)
